  • Matter Dashboard

A Matter Dashboard can be a valuable tool for organizing and managing tasks and events related to a specific matter. By providing a quick and easy-to-use view of all matter-related events and tasks, a Matter Dashboard can help keep legal teams on track and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

The following items are added to a matter dashboard.

  • Your most recent Notifications to stay up to date on notifications for a case.

  • A Matter Upcoming Events widget is a feature that displays a list of all upcoming events related to a specific matter that are scheduled within the next 7 days.

  • A Matter Event timeline is a visual representation of a sequence of events related to a specific matter, arranged in chronological order according to defined dates. It provides a comprehensive overview of the key events and milestones in the case, allowing legal teams to track progress and stay on top of important deadlines.

  • A Matter Task Pie Chart is a visual representation of the distribution of tasks in a matter by their status. By displaying the number of tasks in each status category, such as "in progress," "completed," or "overdue," a Matter Task Pie Chart can provide an at-a-glance view of the current status of tasks in the matter.

  • Store User Time zones Preference

User time zone preference allows users to set their preferred time zone for displaying dates, times, and other time-related information within the application. This is particularly important for MatterAlert that has users located in different parts of the world, as it ensures that everyone sees information in their own local time zone.

End-user can change time zone through the User settings screen. Graphical user interface, text, application, email

Event/Task tag now can be added at the matter level. Tagging is a way of grouping related events and tasks together. By grouping events and tasks, users can quickly and easily find related items and manage their time more effectively.

You can choose whether to add a tag globally or specifically to a particular matter or case.

  • Court Rule Template Customizations

Court Rule Template Customizations refer to modifications made to a standard court rule template to fit the specific needs or requirements of a particular jurisdiction or court.

While court rule templates provide a structured format for creating and issuing court rules, they may not be suitable for every jurisdiction or court, as there may be unique legal or procedural requirements that need to be incorporated into the rule. In such cases, court rule templates can be customized to include additional provisions or modify existing ones.

  • You can add internal tasks or events into a court rule jurisdiction.
  • You can modify or customize court rules established by a jurisdiction.
  • You can select deadlines that don’t apply by
    •  Excluding one or many court rule events.
    • Choosing not to sync to Outlook.
  • You can predefine reminders for deadlines depending on jurisdictions.
  • You can color code deadlines based on their importance and urgency.
  • You can assignee tasks and deadlines to matter team members, matter owner or its assistant and matter paralegal.

  • Paralegal Timekeeper added into the matter info screen.

We added Paralegal Timekeeper field to the matter info screen. The decision to include Paralegal Timekeeper information in the matter info screen will depend on your law firm's specific needs and workflows. If you believe that including this information would be beneficial, then it may be worth considering adding it to the matter info screen.

  • Bug fixes

fix the issue of all-day events appearing to start or end on the wrong day in different time zones, we modify the way MatterAlert calendar handles all-day events by making all-day events independent of time zones, so that they are always displayed as all-day events regardless of the user's time zone.
