Summary

This release introduces new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to improve workflows and overall user experience.

New Features & Enhancements:

- Document Templates - Generate Document

• Create documents instantly by uploading tagged templates that auto-fill with matter data.
   Save drafts, preview results, and generate polished documents with just a few clicks.

  • Upload a tagged Word/PDF document and map the tags to MatterAlert fields (matter data or system attributes).

  • Generate documents directly from each matter, with the system auto-filling mapped fields.

  • Preview the document before saving.

  • Save drafts before generating the final template or final document.

  • Group related fields to keep the generation screen clean and avoid redundant information.

  • Select values from dropdowns where applicable, and the system will automatically populate all grouped fields.

- Matter Templates - Generate Docket template 

• Build reusable docket templates to streamline case setup and eliminate repetitive event entry.
   Apply grouped events to any matter—whether they follow court rules or not. 

  • Create reusable docket templates.

  • Define groups of related events that may not follow court rules but still need to be generated together.

  • Apply these reusable event sets to cases—whether or not they came in via court rules.

- Tracking Log Report

• Stay on top of activity with scheduled reports that summarize all recent changes.
   Send automatic updates to matter owners, event owners, or selected individuals. 

  • Schedule reports for specific periods (e.g., last day, last week).

  • Send activity summaries to matter owners, event owners, or selected users.

  • Display all changes made during the selected time period to matters and/or events.

- Events and Reminders - UI Enhancements

• Experience a cleaner, more informative view of events and reminders across the platform.
   Consistent displays and unified reminder management improve daily workflows. 

  • Events and reminders now show richer, more consistent case information across the application.

  • Unified reminders experience: reminders are managed and accessed the same way throughout the UI.

- Switch Matter

• Quickly rename or renumber matters without losing data or disrupting workflows.
   All events, reminders, and Outlook items update automatically to reflect the new matter. 

  • Switch an existing matter’s name or number—when both matters share the same owner and the destination matter has not yet been created in MatterAlert.

  • The client associated with the matter will be switched automatically.

  • All events will appear under the new matter.

  • Outlook events and reminders will automatically update with the new matter information.

- Event Report and Event Brief Report enhancements 

• Filter and report more precisely with newly added case name and number fields.
   Reports now deliver clearer context and more complete case information. 

  • Case name and case number have been added to the filter criteria.

  • Both reports now include case name and number in their output.

- Platform & Technical Updates 

• Security layer enhancement 
• General fixes and backend performance enhancements.
