MatterAlert is a matter docketing and tickler system that is integrated to internal systems such as accounting systems, MS-Outlook, or Document Management Systems to not only manage matter limitations and critical dates, but to also provide a central place for all matter related information such as tasks, documents, comments, and court limitations.
MatterAlert has multiple components which work together to provide a wide range of features and capabilities. The core application has three major components as follows:
- MatterAlert Web Portal: A web application to hold all vital information about matters.
- Exchange Sync services: A background service to push appointments and events created in the portal to each user’s (timekeeper’s) outlook calendar, as to keep them up to date as they change in the portal.
- Background Maintenance Services: A nightly job that monitors the system and sends daily or weekly notifications and escalation emails.
