Select Matter Favorites
We've introduced an exciting feature – the option to mark specific matters as "favorites list". This allows you to quickly access and prioritize your crucial matters, streamlining your workflow and saving time.
There are two places in which this can be done. On the homepage under the ‘Matter’ Pane stars can be seen beside the Matter Number. This is similar to the Matters Tab, a user can click the star icon to favorite this and it will be prioritized at the top of the Matter list.
Updated Features for Monitor Calendar Sync Service Email Notifications
In the latest release, significant enhancements have been made to the Monitor Calendar Sync Service email notifications. Moving forward, HelpDesk/Admin will exclusively be notified via email in the event of an error. Specifically, if the sync service encounters a stoppage, it will be classified as an error and promptly brought to the attention of the HelpDesk.
Improvements in Matter Settings
- Matter Calendar Sync Opt-Out List:
Administrators now have the ability to opt-out a specific user from receiving any events or reminders associated with a selected matter in their Outlook calendar. This feature empowers users with greater control over the synchronization of calendar information, allowing for a more tailored and personalized experience.
- Outlook Sync Reminder Toggle:
Administrators now have the flexibility to enable or disable the synchronization of reminders to all attendees' Outlook calendars for a specific matter. This feature provides heightened control over the reminder syncing process, allowing administrators to customize the experience based on the needs of the
- Security Wizard:
The introduction of an Ethical Wall (Security) through the Security Wizard enhances matter security by preventing unauthorized access. This wizard meticulously analyzes the matter, identifies users linked to appointments or tasks, and provides a comprehensive list for the configuration of their access rights. This ensures a robust and tailored security setup for the specified matter.
All-Day Events Update
Enhanced compatibility with Outlook now ensures that scheduling events as all-day events correctly displays them as free in your Outlook calendar. If a specific time is designated for an event, the status will be indicated as busy.
Task Template Enhancements
Enhancements have been made to Task Templates to support both events and tasks. This flexibility allows you to create and manage a wide range of legal events and tasks, ensuring your workflow aligns with your unique requirements.
When configuring or creating a new Matter Template the user can create Tasks & Limitation. When creating a new template under that tab, users are now given the option to choose between a Task and an Event.
The user can customize times and color-coded status to help sync and organize within outlook.
Users will be presented with these options under ‘Calendar item’ if they have selected to make an ‘Event’.
Scheduled Triggers
A new feature that allows for the quick and easy creation of reminders and dates. This can be a legal activity that may happen once or repeat multiple times during the life cycle of a legal case. Once a scheduled trigger is initiated, a series of related Tasks or Events is triggered based on the scheduled trigger date.
A scheduled trigger can be created and customized within the appropriate templates, under Matter Template/Template Information. Tasks and Events can be added and customized to meet specific case needs.
Event and Task Filtering
Within a matter dashboard added to the ‘Task‘ tab is the ability to Filter based on the Key Dates, Court rule triggers, and created entity dates relating to the template or matter. This change helps the user to find related tasks in an efficient manner.
Custom Jurisdictions: Triggers and Events
Introduced in this release is the ability to create new custom jurisdictions, triggers, and events, providing users with greater customization and control over legal matter management. Under "Settings/Court Rules - Custom Templates," users with the necessary authorization can create custom templates for specific jurisdictions not currently available in the system. Recognizing that not every jurisdiction or court may be present in the system, this feature accommodates the unique legal and procedural requirements that need to be incorporated. Users can navigate to "Settings/Court-Rule Custom Template," and upon clicking "New Customized Template," a pop-up appears.
Create a new template by entering a ‘Template Name’ and specifying a new ’Jurisdiction’ title not part of the drop-down menu. This will generate a new template without pre-populated rules, tasks, or events. Users can also add ‘Triggers/Limitations’ to provide specific details about the new custom jurisdiction template, tailoring it precisely to their needs. See screen shot for details.
Outlook events update
Improved integration with Outlook. Now, when you schedule events as all-day events, they will be appropriately displayed as busy or free in your Outlook calendar. When a specific time for an event has been requested the status is displayed as busy. If an event is marked as all day on MatterAlert it would display as free on Outlook.
