MatterAlert is designed to be flexible and configurable based on the customers’ requirements. The settings section provides versatile options and configurations to allow the system administrator to adjust the features and capabilities within MatterAlert. Here are the high-level available settings with a brief definition:
- User Management: Displays a list of users and allows the administrator to define each user’s role(s) and attributes.
- Configuration: System basic configurations setup initially by PaayaTech experts.
- Defaults: Lists any values used in the dropdown or list. Allows the administrator to modify/add/remove items.
- Matter Maintenance: To perform the bulk updates such as changing matter owners, or bulk updates on event/task assignments across different matters.
- Document Maintenance: To view “Deleted” documents and “Restore” them if they are deleted on accident.
- Access Control Panel: Available to users with the administrator role only to enable/disable features and components for users in specific roles.
- Matter Template: To set up matter templates for different types of matters. Matter Templates drive how the information is collected for a matter and can generate automated tasks and events (workflow).
- Delegation: To setup delegation (e.g., Lawyer / Assistant relation) which gives access to “My Calendar” and “My Tasks” to the delegated user.
- Statutory Holiday: To set statutory holidays for the company. This will enforce the holiday rules when creating events (e.g., avoid setting up an event on holidays).
- Distribution Lists: To created automated distribution lists (e.g., IP Department) based on the user’s attributes (e.g., Department). Events and Tasks can be assigned to the distribution lists.
- Event Codes: To set up pre-defined “Event Code” with predefined “Subject” and “Narrative” to be used when creating events/appointments.
- Office Location: To setup different office addresses. The office address can be used in “Document Automation”.
- Document Template: Used in Document Automation (Additional license required), this section allows the user/administrator to set up legal document templates to be used by the matter team, to generate and auto-fill the legal documents.
- Email Templates: To modify email bodies. This also include customizing the body of events pushed to Outlook.
- Notification Templates: To modify the notification messages as well as enable/disable the email feature for each notification.
- Court Rule Settings: To exclude rules that are not applicable to the company as well as to update the list of Jurisdictions (Additional license required).
- Audit Logs: Displays a log for any changes that users impose on the system (e.g., change event, create event etc.).
- License: To view licensing and update it if there are any changes (e.g., increasing the user license).
